Parents of Middle School Students Reading School-Assigned Novels
We are conducting a research study with parents of middle school students who are currently reading assigned novels for school (for example: To Kill a Mockingbird, The Giver, Lord of the Flies, or similar literature). In this session, we want to understand how students and parents handle difficult passages when reading school-assigned books. We’re interested in learning about real experiences, challenges, and how families currently solve reading comprehension questions. The session will involve a casual conversation about your child’s reading assignments and may include looking at a passage from a book your child is currently reading. This is not a test and there are no right or wrong answers. We are simply trying to understand real experiences from parents.
