Restaurant Owners: How Do You Manage Walk-Ins, Phones & Unpredictable Arrivals?
We’re running a short research study with independent restaurant owners and operators to understand how arrival, walk-ins, phone calls, and guest expectations are handled in real day-to-day service. This is not a sales call. We’re looking to learn from operators who deal with: Constant phone interruptions at the host stand Walk-ins, call-ahead requests, and large parties Uncertain wait times and guest frustration The trade-offs between reservations vs first-come, first-served We’re especially interested in restaurants that do not rely on rigid reservation systems and instead manage flow using experience, judgment, and simple tools.
