Validation Study for Eight Sleep's Posture Detection Technology
This study will validate that Eight Sleep's biometric sensing technology performs comparably when integrated into a prototype mattress topper versus the standard Eight Sleep Pod cover. You will test two different configurations while wearing a Polar chest strap heart rate monitor. During the 2 hour and 30 minute session, you'll lie in different positions (back, side, stomach) while researchers record data and adjust the mattress topper firmness settings. The primary goal is to validate that biometric measurements from Pod sensors integrated into the mattress topper perform comparably to measurements from the Pod cover alone. Additionally, we will collect load-cell sensor data to support posture detection algorithm development.
